2026 CHS AI Research Summit

The 2026 CHS AI Research Summit will feature more than 50 sessions with researchers and professionals representing more than 20 institutions and organizations. Sessions will explore the opportunities, challenges, and implications of AI through a human-centered lens. Registration is now open for VCU faculty and graduate students outside the College of Humanities and Sciences. Registration fees for these participants are being covered by the university.
Space is limited, and registration will close Friday, October 9, or earlier if capacity is reached.

Opioid use and addiction/dependence has a history that goes back thousands of years. Today, new types of opioids and delivery systems challenge communities, healthcare providers, and policy makers, among others. Join us at a Convergence Cafe for a cross-disciplinary dialogue with researchers, healthcare providers, policy experts, program leaders, and community members to address new challenges and current approaches to addressing opioid addiction. Come ready to challenge existing frameworks, connect across fields, and help shape the next generation of recovery and prevention.
